Chinese People buy birds and view them as good luck and fortune. The main theme of the design is freedom of birds – Resembling the freeing of one’s soul and boundaries.

Second in the series of paintings inspired by Chinese chinoiserie in collaboration with The House of Folklore which were created to reproduce on silk scarves. The swimming Koi Fishes represent advancement and determination. And the Chinese also believe that Koi Fish particularly represent good fortune in business and academics. And it is the general belief that a lot of clustered Koi Fish represent love and friendship.

Third in the series of paintings inspired by Chinese chinoiserie in collaboration with The House of Folklore which were created to reproduce on silk scarves. Phoenix also holds a high regard in Chinese mythology. The phoenix is also seen in a lot of traditional Chinese clothing. Phoenix symbolizes high grace and virtue and often appears alongside Dragons because of it being considered very auspicious.

Fourth in the series of paintings inspired by Chinese chinoiserie in collaboration with The House of Folklore which were created to reproduce on silk scarves. Represents the blossoming season in China. The pomegranate in the design holds great importance in Chinese mythology. It signifies the unison and unity of people and the bringing of wealth and well-being to one. The design also consists of light broken lines which resemble the cracks and creaks on Chinese porcelain and ceramics.
